Complementary activities

Given the characteristics of our centre and students, we work especially on:

  • The practice of English and German in England, Ireland and Germany, in school or in families during the summer from 6th grade to 2nd year.
  • Study trip in 1st or 2nd year of High School.
  • Cultural visit to Madrid during 1st year of High School, among the visited places there is the stock exchange.
  • Social projects in the Spanish Peninsula and the Recovery of Abandoned Villages in 1st year of high school.
  • The communal living in camps enjoying nature in Tenerife with 4th and 5th grade of Primary school and in La Palma with 4th year of Secondary School.
  • Excursions and educational visits, at least one per quarter: factories, museums, parks, institutions…
  • The commemoration of:
    • October: “La Hispanidad” (the Spanishship).
    • November: Halloween and lanterns party (San Martin).
    • December: The Constitution day and Christmas.
    • January: Day of Peace.
    • February: Carnival.
    • March: Father’s Day.
    • April: Book Day and Easter Bunny (Osterhase).
    • May: Mother’s Day and Day of the Canary Islands.
    • June: World Environment Day and Summer Festival (Sommerfest).
  • School Vegetable Patch as an instrument for working skills of knowledge and interaction with the physical world in the 2nd Cycle of Kindergarten and Primary School.
  • Talks of issues of interest to students in the various stages; for example: Gender Violence, Bullying, Economics, Sexuality, Nutrition…
  • Summer Campus for Kindergarten and Primary school.
  • Participation in the Olympics of Economics: Secondary and High School students.
  • Meeting of School Athletics: Secondary and High School students.
