Extracurricular activities

Costa Adeje International School, in addition to schooling, provides the opportunity to participate in other types of activities outside of school hours that contribute to the all round development of the students, help them organize their free time and improve their school environment. 

This offer of Extracurricular Activities is open to both school students and young people enrolled in other educational centers. 

Sport activities

Definición: fusion between Aerobics and Modern Dance. Work on choreography, coordination, resistance and cardiovascular work through physical expression games and music.

Sports equipment: Specific and mandatory. It is provided at the Sports Coordination Office and will be made upon request to the activity monitor during the months of October, January and April.

Objectives: 

-Increase cardiovascular and muscular resistance.

-Develop motor coordination and rhythm of movement. 

-Promote good anatomical and organic development. 

-Increase flexibility. 

-Improve information processing and memorization. 

-Work on spatial concepts (in front, behind, diagonal...). 

-Promote the acquisition of laterality (right – left).

Definición: It is a sports discipline that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics and dance, as well as the use of various devices such as rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon. The tests are carried out on a mat in individual and group modes.

Objectives: 

-Develop skills such as strength, power, flexibility, agility, dexterity and resistance, to achieve the technical degree necessary to show vigor, beauty and harmony in the exercise movements. In general, rhythmic gymnastics has three aspects that must be worked on: body movement, handling of the apparatus and musical accompaniment.

-Promote harmony, grace and beauty through creative movements, translated into bodily expressions through musical, theatrical and technical combinations.

Definición:  individual sport using different irons to put a ball into each of the 18 holes that are located on an extensive outdoor grass field.

Definición:  It is a sliding sports discipline, where technical elements are combined with artistic facets. Very fun where flexibility, coordination and artistic expression are worked on.

Definición:  unarmed combat system, of Korean origin. Sport in which two contestants use sharp blows given with their fists and feet and in which jumping techniques have been developed.
